Nueva Sony NEX-VG 20

La nueva cámara de Sony la NEX- VG 20, la sucesora de la VG 10 ya está aquí. En este video promocional mencionan algunas de las ventajas de esta cámara, se habla de que el nuevo sensor elimina prácticamente el moiré y el aisling, esto en realidad no sabemos si es cierto ya que la cámara no ha sido evaluada mas que por gente de la misa compañía: SONY.

Esta se vende en un precio de 1600 dolares, (únicamente cuerpo) y estará disponible a partir de Noviembre de esta año.

Rumores sobre nuevas HDSLR's de Sony vía C5D

After the Sony F3 that is shaking up the cinema market, the FS-100 that is shaking up the low budget high end video market, and the small 1080p60 Sony HX9v that is creating a lot of buzz Sony is apparently just getting warmed up and ready for another strike (it’s about time!).

The guy from Sonyalpha Rumors released some very intruiging info on the upcoming Sony HDSLR cameras. He says that these cameras will be announced on August 24th (in Tokyo) and were created with video shooting in mind (we couldn’t say such a thing about a Canon DSLR huh?).

Sonyalpha Rumors:
That means that the new sensor and the new BIOZ processor have been optimized to avoid artifacts like the weird jello effect.

They’re said to work fully manually and support the AVCHD version 2.0 standard which apparently lets you store 60p in 1080p mode. Well, it would be about time. Unfortunately it’s still only 28bit. BUT, after shooting on the Sony F3 lately I must say I’m mighty impressed seeing that the AVCHD compression actually gives a really really beautiful image with a lot of info there, so 28bit might just be enough to create something awesome as long as the camera delivers a nice signal.

Here’s possible pricing:
-Sony Alpha 77 body only = 1050€
-Sony Alpha 65 body only = 900€

The A77 is rumored to be released on September 16th in Japan along with the NEX-7 and early October for the rest of the world.

A77 has 19 point AF system with 11 cross sensors while the A65 has only 3 cross sensors.
A77 can do 12 fps while the A65 can do 10fps.
A77 has new 3 way tilting LCD, A65 has “classic” tilting LCD
A77 can do 50 ISO while A65 can not.
The A77 has a magnesium body while the A65 has not.
The A77 has 1/8000 shutter while A65 has a 1/4000 shutter

Sony PMW-F3 modificada a 4:4:4

Jared Abrams, publica en su página wideopencamera.com sobre una cámara modificada de Sony, la PMW-F3, que ha sido modificada para brindarnos un fabuloso 4:4:4. Esta modificación le añade una impresionante característica al video, ya que no se aplica el Sub sampling en el cual se reproducen pixeles de la imagen, si no que más bien la cámara captura todos los pixeles.

Según Jared, esto es lo más cercano que hemos visto una cámara de video grabar algo parecido al cine. En esta magnifica colaboración entre Khalid Mohtaseb, Jonathan Bregel y Timur Civan y con Vincent Lafroret realizando las tomas del helicoptero asi como la edición de Thomas Wong. El proyecto fue apoyado por Eric Kessler de Kessler Crane, así como también Wide Open Camera y Carl Zeiss. Esta fue una enorme colaboración entre muchos cineastas y productores de equipo.

Anuncia Sony nueva cámara de video con sensor de super 35mm: NEX-FS100

Sony anunció su nueva cámara de video con sensor de Super 35 CMOS. La NEX-FS100 tiene muchas funciones muy interesantes; como un disco duro que te dejará grabar cerca de 10 hrs a 24mpbs, puede grabar en tarjetas SD y SXS. Tiene la capacidad de grabar en FULL HD a varios cuadros por segundo, el precio estimado es de 6 mil dólares.

Les dejo lo que menciona Videomaker Mag acerca de esta nueva cámara. 

“Además de los muchos beneficios de un sensor más grande, Sony también ha incluido un sistema de Viewfinder que permite rotarlo más de 90º a cada lado de la cámara, incluye un micrófono con dos entradas XLR (eso se agradece). Tiene además la capacidad de grabar simultaneamente en la tarjeta SD y en la unidad de la memoria de la cámara, tiene salida de video en 1080p HDMI con timecode, gps y una grip para cargar la cámara que se puede quitar, cuenta con touch screen, y muchas funciones como "white balance", velocidad manual, histograma, zebra y peaking.  La cámara graba a 1080p (60cps/30cps/24cps), 720p, y 480i en el formato AVCHD dándote cualquier cantidad de cuadros por segundo que tú elijas.

Primer corto realizado con la Sony PMW-F3

Según Martin Scanlan, éste es el primer corto jamás realizado con la nueva cámara de 35mm con montura PL de Sony la PMW-F3, esto es lo que menciona en su página de Vimeo.

Convergence es el primer corto en el mundo realizado en su totalidad con la nueva cámara de Sony PMW-F3. La cámara en cuestión estaba en pre producción y Sony nos la presto para que la evaluaramos durante 2 días, para grabar algunos videos. En poco más de una semana realizamos este corto. This claims to be the first short done with the new Sony 35mm camera, in teire vimeo page they say this;

Convergence is the first short film in the world to be shot on the new Sony PMW-F3 camera. The camera in question was a pre-production unit from Sony which we had under evaluation for 2 days to shoot some test footage. A little over a week later, we had a short film.
